Changing MacBook password

Please see below for step by step instructions to reset your password for your new macbook.

Once you receive your new device and confirm that it’s assigned to your name please power on the device (the device will auto power-on once lid opens), then :

• Click on your name in sign in options 
• Your temporary default password is set to Welcome1 
• Once you are signed in, click on the apple logo located on the upper left corner, then select System Preferences

• Next, select Security & Privacy

• Next, select Change Password

You will be presented with the following screen. Enter your temporary password in the field at the top. Next, enter your new password (consisting of at least one upper-case letter, number, and a special character) and ensure it is at least 8 characters plus. Select Change Password once completed.

You should also consider turning on SYNC for your Prospect Schools Google Account on your browser to ensure bookmarks, passwords, history, and more. 

• Ensure that you are logged in to your Prospect Schools email address at the top of the "Profile Menu" icon in the top right corner of your browser, then click “Turn on sync.
• Next, you’re greeted with a prompt asking if you want to turn on sync. Click “Yes, I’m In” to enable syncing of Chrome.
